Srikantadatta Narasimharaja Wadiyar, the scion of the Mysore royal family, died after a cardiac arrest in the city on Tuesday.

Wadiyar loved cars, sport and the arts; he even ran a fashion line to promote Mysore's ancient textile heritage -silk. Although his contribution to the state's development have been immense.

Kid Butchered at City Rail Station


A suspected psychopath spread terror at the Secunderabad railway station, killing a six-yearold girl in broad daylight, before the eyes of several passengers and the child's relatives.

The assailant caught hold of the child while she was standing with her grandmother near the ticket counter on platform number 10.

430 Sheep Die After Eating Poisonous Puffed Rice


430 Sheep Die
More than 430 sheep died after consuming `poisonous' puffed rice here on Monday morning. According to shepherds, the animals were brought back to the City outskirts on Sunday evening.

Almost all 600 sheep belonging to Kondanna and Durgappa ate the pile of spoiled puffed rice found on the road-side.

A scuffle broke out on the Begumpet flyover on Thursday afternoon when two African nationals allegedly beat up a biker and tried to push him off the flyover.
