Srikantadatta Narasimharaja Wadiyar, the scion of the Mysore royal family, died after a cardiac arrest in the city on Tuesday.

Wadiyar loved cars, sport and the arts; he even ran a fashion line to promote Mysore's ancient textile heritage -silk. Although his contribution to the state's development have been immense.
