After battling Cyclone Phailin that left a trail of destruction in many parts of the state, Odisha on Monday struggled to face a fresh phase of devastation caused by high floods, even as the Indian Air Force launched
airdropping of relief materials in affected pockets. Over 2.5 lakh people were marooned in Balasore one of the two worst-hit districts along with Mayurbanj and several rivers were in spate.
