CM Stokes Fear of Water Wars

Chief Minister N. Kiran Kumar Reddy on Monday warned that creating one more state (Telangana) would lead to severe complications in the sharing of river waters.

Addressing farmers who came from Anantapur to his camp office, Mr Reddy said Rayalaseema would be worst hit in the event of the state’s division. He reiterated that the Centre should address water problems, particularly those faced by Rayalaseema, before proceeding with the division of the state.
